Attorney Derek Reed Chosen to Speak at NJNAHRO Conference

Our own Attorney Derek Reed had the honor of speaking at the 2022 New Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Housing & Redevelopment Conference. It is an honor to present before the members of the NJNAHRO and only the top attorneys and members are selected to speak.

Conference attendees were able to gain deep insight into the legal side of real estate and the newly implemented Fair Chance In Housing Act and undoubtedly left the event more informed, and ready for action in light of Attorney Reed’s contributions.

The NAHRO

Established in 1933, the National Association of Housing & Redevelopment Organization includes housing and community development providers and professionals throughout the United States. Members are problem solvers that offer solutions to housing deficiencies and create affordable housing opportunities for low and middle-income families. In doing so, members foster vibrant communities that enhance the quality of life for all residents.

The NAHRO has more than 17,000 individual members nationwide and over 2,500 agency members including housing authorities, redevelopment agencies, and affiliates. Since its founding, the NAHRO has amassed over 900,000 units of public housing, more than 1.6 million units of tenant-based Section 8 housing, and nearly 400,000 units of assisted housing.

The goal of the NAHRO is to “be the leading housing and community development association that inspires the creation of strong and sustainable communities.” The organization is dedicated to sharing knowledge, exercising professionalism and collaboration, equality, sustainability, and innovation.

Members can contribute to these advances and push for advocacy and change in their communities.
