John Petriello, Esq. and Derek Reed, Esq. have just won a significant amount in a construction arbitration concerning alleged defects at the women's field hockey field at Monmouth University. The arbitration lasted 11 days. The arbitrator found our client was completely without fault and ordered payment in full, with interest.
In a recent victory in the Appellate Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Bruce E. Gudin, Esq. and Erin R. Ehrlich, Esq. ensured that a tenant found in possession of illegal narcotics was not allowed to regain possession of her rental premises. In that case, a tenant was found with packets of narcotics on her coffee table by police while in hot pursuit of a drug dealer who sought refuge in the tenant's apartment. Although the tenant argued that she could not be deemed to have possession of the drugs, Mr. Gudin and Ms. Ehrlich successfully argued to the Appellate Division that tenant was in fact in possession of the drugs, and that the safety and welfare of this tenant's neighbors necessitated her eviction from the premises.
