Mr. Reed concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, Department of Community Affairs (DCA) violations and proceedings, administrative law, landlord/tenant law, collection law and general civil litigation in all courts of New Jersey, New York and the United States District Court, District of New Jersey.
Since joining Levy, Ehrlich & Petriello, Mr. Reed has engaged in a diverse litigation practice representing a wide range of corporate and individual clients involved in contractual and business disputes. Mr. Reed aggressively represents a client's interests, specific to the goals of each individual client.
Notably, Mr. Reed has developed a specialized knowledge of municipal and state housing code matters in New Jersey. In particular, he has extensive experience with matters involving the New Jersey Hotel and Multiple Dwelling Law and has successfully represented and advised numerous clients before the Department of Community Affairs (DCA) through negotiation of penalty reductions, obtaining exceptions, procuring extensions, objecting to violations and pursuing appeals before the Office of Administrative Law when necessary. Mr. Reed has valuable experience in working with officials from the DCA to obtain a favorable resolution for his clients.
Additionally, Mr. Reed has lectured on various aspects of commercial and individual collections and assists both large and small creditors, in New Jersey and New York, with effective collection efforts. Moreover, Mr. Reed represents numerous landlords throughout New Jersey in summary disposes proceedings and other related disputes.
Mr. Reed is admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey, the State of New York and the United States District Court, District of New Jersey.
