For over ten years, Mr. Cea has concentrated his practice in the area of real estate with an emphasis on commercial and multi-family transactions, including sales, purchases, refinances, zoning applications and condominium establishment conversions. In addition to transactional work, Mr. Cea handles the litigation of cases involving real estate issues in state and federal court, including foreclosures, quiet title actions, and partition actions. He appears on behalf of diverse applicants before various Planning and Zoning Boards throughout New Jersey, including representation for corporate developments and affordable housing developments.
Mr. Cea was a Supervising Attorney for Northern New Jersey for the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). As Supervising Attorney, Mr. Cea was responsible for overseeing the closing of HUD's foreclosed properties in Northern New Jersey.
Mr. Cea's extensive real estate experience allows him to successfully handle matters with complex title issues. This experience also allows Mr. Cea to effectively handle matters involving boundary disputes, common owner claims, and clouded titles.
Mr. Cea represents neighborhood developers in various matters, including relationships with local and state authorities.
Mr. Cea also serves on the Board of Directors of the Newark Chapter of the Freedom Foundation of New Jersey, an organization that concentrates on the welfare and education of the children residing in the City of Newark.
