Ira Levy (Of Counsel) concentrates his practice in tax, business, estate and real estate. He is our founding partner and has been practicing law for over 50 years. He is a graduate of UCLA Rutgers University School of Law, has his L.L.M. in taxation from New York University School of Law, and also served as a Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force.


Alan Ehrlich is also a Certified Public Accountant, and for over 35 years has concentrated his practice in tax, estate, probate, business organizations, business transactions and family law. He has lectured for the Bar Association's Tax Committee, and is a Past President of its Tax Committee.


John Petriello has concentrated his practice in civil commercial litigation for over 30 years, in trial and appellate matters in state and federal matters in New Jersey and New York. He is a practitioner and lecturer in construction law. He is a mediator for civil matters pending in the Superior Court New Jersey. He was selected for inclusion on the New Jersey Super Lawyers® lists for 2012 and 2013.


Bruce Gudin has been a leading practitioner in the areas of residential and commercial landlord tenant law, and has regularly lectured on the subject for the past 20 years. Mr. Gudin also practices and lectures on other real estate, leasing and related issues. He is currently the author of the revisions to The Guide to Landlord Tenant and Related Actions in the Superior Court of New Jersey, originally authored by the Honorable Mahlon L. Fast, J.S.C. This publication is the leading Landlord Tenant law treatise relied upon by both practitioners and the judges who hear landlord tenant cases across the State. Recently, he has been actively engaged with the New Jersey Law Revision Commission in updating and revising proposed new eviction laws, rules and procedures. He was selected for inclusion on the New Jersey Super Lawyers® lists for 2012 and 2013.


Jeffrey W. Plaza has over 20 years experience successfully representing individuals and businesses in a wide range of complex civil matters involving commercial litigation, divorce and family law, insurance coverage, and catastrophic personal injury law. Mr. Plaza regularly appears before the state and federal courts of New Jersey and New York and handles cases on both the trial and appellate level. Mr. Plaza is also approved by the Superior Court of New Jersey to serve as a mediator in divorce, probate, equity and other civil matters. Mr. Plaza is an active member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and has served on the Bernards Township Zoning Board of Adjustment (2004-2012) and Planning Board (2013 - present). He was selected for inclusion on the New Jersey Super Lawyers® list for 2013.


Derek Reed concentrates his practice in commercial litigation in New York and New Jersey and family law, limited to the State of New Jersey. Mr. Reed has represented numerous individuals and corporations in the metropolitan area in complex real estate disputes, including commercial and residential leasing issues and ejectment actions, as well as administrative proceedings before state, county and local agencies. Mr. Reed has also represented numerous individuals in complex divorce, child custody, adoption and post-judgment proceedings in the State of New Jersey. He extensively lectures on various issues relative to owning and managing residential and commercial real estate and is and instructor with Rutger's University School of Continuing Education, teaching trial testimony and administrative procedure. Mr. Reed also advises property owners relative to the New Jersey Hotel and Multiple Housing Law and their compliance issues with the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs ("DCA"). He appears before the courts of New Jersey, New York and United States District Court, District of New Jersey. He was selected for inclusion on the New Jersey Super Lawyers® Rising Stars℠ list for 2013.


Anne Ward is the Senior Counsel in the Condominium Law Department of the firm. She served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Rena K Uviller, Judge Supreme Court, New York. Ms Ward was Assistant Division Chief in the Administrative Law Division of the New York City Law Department. She has sat on the Planning Board of the Village of Ridgewood and was a member of the Village of Ridgewood's Historic Preservation Commission. She is an experienced civil litigator who has handled a broad range of matters including commercial, land use and zoning, condominium issues and real estate litigation.


Erin R. Ehrlich was a legal intern with Honorable Jose Linares, Judge of the United States District Court, and a legal intern for Carroll, Guido & Groffman, LLC, in New York City. She additionally was a legal intern in the litigation department of Universal Music Group. Ms. Ehrlich's experience ranges from civil litigation to transactional matters.


Judge Mahlon L. Fast serves as a Judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey. He has been doing this for the past 28 years, concentrating on the Landlord-Tenant Division. He is serving as counsel to the firm and is available to discuss your landlord/tenant or real estate issues with you. He also welcomes the opportunity to mediate on arbitrate complex legal disputes.

Steven Landis has focused heavily on civil litigation since he first began practicing law. He has a wide range of previous experience in various types of litigation, but at Ehrlich, Petriello, Gudin & Plaza, he concentrates his practice in the areas of landlord/tenant disputes, contract claims, fraud claims, real estate matters, and criminal defense.


Joel M. Rosen has had a long career representing individuals, entrepreneurs, developers and institutional in all aspects of commercial real estate. His practice encompasses purchase and sale transactions, commercial leasing, and land use, as well as the related corporate and environmental consulting that is integral to such a practice. He has also represented numerous borrowers and lenders in the financing of all types of projects, including construction financing, and the financing and refinancing of new and existing projects. He has also represented many clients on the restructuring of existing debt secured by real estate.
